The following steps describe how to set up the content filtering service on iOS and Android devices. Please mind, the mobile filtering option is available in beta mode. If you come across any errors and issues when using the option SafeDNS kindly asks you to report them to our Support.

Mobile Filtering Setup on iOS Devices

1. Before installing and configuring the necessary software on a device, it should be connected to your SafeDNS account. To do that enter Dashboard using your login (the registration email) and your password and go to the Nets tab.


2. Add a VPN connection for your mobile device by specifying a name for it. Each device should be individually connected.


3. When creating a connection, choose which profile you want to filter the device on. All settings for the selected profile, such as a schedule, are fully supported by the mobile filtering. Also without rebooting the VPN key on your mobile device, you can remotely change the filtering profile, just click the "Change" button and select another profile.


4. Upon creating the connection in the "Key" column there appear 2 buttons. One is for downloading the configuration file, the other is for sending it by email. Click the "Send the link by email" button. On your iOS device a mail client with your email account (used for the registration with SafeDNS) is supposed to be configured.


5. From the iTunes app store install OpenVPN client (the program is completely free of charge). Go to the email on the device and open the message with the configuration file. Choose a configuration file to open using OpenVPN client:



6. Click the green plus to add an OpenVPN profile. 


7. To connect activate the "Connection" switch.

8. Having connected to the VPN, verify that the web is being filtered on the device.

1. Before installing and configuring the necessary software on a device, it should be connected to your SafeDNS account. To do that enter Dashboard using your login (registration email) and your password and go to the Nets tab.


2. Add a new VPN connection for your mobile device by specifying a name for it. Each device should be individually connected. 


3. When creating a connection, choose which profile you want to filter the device on. All settings for the selected profile, such as a schedule are fully supported by the mobile filtering. Also without rebooting the VPN key on your mobile device, you can remotely change the filtering profile, just click the "Change" button and select another profile.

5. From the Play Market app store install OpenVPN client (the program is completely free of charge). Go to the Downloads folder of the device, find OpenVPN client there, click the following buttons - "Menu", "Import", "Import Profile from SD card" and then select the configuration profile:


6. Once the profile is imported click "Connect": 

7. Having connected to the VPN, verify that the web is being filtered on the device.
